The Lone Eagle Chalice Labyrinth is made of crushed granite pathways, natural local gray granite stones, and smooth tumbled glass for the center of the chalice areas. Smaller smooth tumbled glass piececs are sprinkled along the pathways. The glass reflects the sunlight so beautifully. It is located high on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful Texas Hill Country and Canyon Lake.
This much you can see. What you cannot see are the numerous synchronicities that manifested this beautiful sacred space on God's earth plane.
The
timing. I had no set time for completion and trusted that it would be created
when it was right. It was completed on December 31, 2004 with the help of
my two wonderful stepdaughters. Just in time to celebrate the New Year!
The design. Bob Peach's Chalice Labyrinth design. The design plan and directions were so graciously offered to anyone that wished to use it. This Design was suggested to me by Charlie and Veronica Andrews. I originally wanted another labyrinth design but the Chalice felt so much more "right" for the area and for my path.
The number of rocks collected prior to the actual layout turned out to be the exact number of rocks needed to complete the labyrinth. The stones and their position reflect the individual paths of the design team, Jenda, Jalaina, and myself.
The chance meeting of Ellen and Jim Massey. I was searching for the right material to fill in the chalice and labry areas. They not only have a labyrinth on their beautiful property, but had the tumbled glass beads in their garden pathways. You can even walk it barefooted!
The "Gathering" for opening my eyes to the feminine energy.
Many thanks to Rebecca Rodriquez for opening the door for me to the passionate walk of the labyrinth.
And lastly, the unbelievable force that moved my husband and I to an area where we could even put in a labyrinth. This move was totally away from the area that we had previously called home. A new home which I fondly describe in the following words: Life is not measured by how many breaths we take, but by how many moments take our breath away!
